If, like me, you spend most of your day flitting back and forth between multiple tabs in your Internet browser, you’ll also appreciate anything that can make life a little easier, more organised and easier on the eye.
Luckily, if you’re using Chrome (you are using Chrome, right? RIGHT???), there are a number of extensions you can add that do all sorts of useful things. Here are some of my favourites – share yours in the comments below!
Momentum
There are, believe it or not, brief moments in a day between opening up a new browser tab, and typing something into the search bar. Momentum capitalises on that and turns every newly opened tab into a friendly, personal dashboard.

Keep an eye on the time (and the weather), give yourself a main focus for the day, keep a running to-do list, and be inspired by a beautiful landscape image and daily quote.
Nimbus Screenshot
I do a surprising amount of screengrabbing, and while there are a number of extensions that offer this, Nimbus is cool because it can capture an entire page in one whole image, and more.

Just hit the little icon at the top right and choose what you need from the drop-down menu. There's a load of drawing tools to add to your screenshot, and you can either save to your computer or Google Drive directly.
Hootlet
Again, there are lots of Chrome extensions that provide ways to share great content on social media. I use Hootsuite for managing client accounts, and so with Hootlet, I can easily share interesting links wherever I am on the web.

Whenever you find something worth sharing, just hit the Hootlet button and the Hootsuite tweet composition box appears, with the link already added. Choose your account, type your tweet and send. It's a hoot!
Black Menu for Google
At Flow, we use a lot Google products, and sometimes you need to check your mail, your calendar, find something in your Google Drive and track down a video on your YouTube channel, all at the same time! Switching between tabs can be time-consuming. Enter Black Menu.

Black Menu enables you to the whole Google suite at a glance. Click the button, and then simply roll over the item you want to see it. Now you can see your inbox, and your weekly meetings all on one screen. Nifty.
Wikiwand
Let's face it: while Wikipedia is an extremely useful website, it's not the prettiest to look at. Wikiwand solves this by "skinning" all Wikipedia pages with a modern, fresh design that incorporates the images found on the page.

Once installed, Wikiwand works automatically, and even gives you the ability to customise the new look, if you prefer Serifs to your Sans, or your lights to your darks.
