When Flow was chosen to design the programme for the annual South African Girls’ Schools Association (SAGSA) conference, the programme went digital.

In previous years, the programme had always been printed, but besides resulting in ultimately producing a lot of waste, this presented problems when last-minute changes had to be made.

Flow created a digital programme for the conference instead, which meant that it could be kept up to date even if changes were made at very short notice, it could be accessed anywhere, on any device connected to the Internet, and when the conference was finished, it could be deleted and vanish almost without a trace.

The digital programme, which was published electronically in the form of a PDF, provided attendees with the usual information, such as a list of proceedings and information about the speakers.

However, because three different schools – Roedean School, Kingsmead College, and St Mary’s School, Waverley – were involved in the conference, and each played host for one day, Flow also had to ensure that the programme reflected the contributions and features of each of these schools, as well as those of SAGSA.

Flow’s designers also had to make sure that the look of the programme harmonised with the look of the recently revamped SAGSA website.

“The new look and format of the programme were a success, and everybody was very impressed,” says Flow project manager Ros Caboz.

And our clients were happy, too. Representatives from the schools involved described the programme as “fabulous” and “wonderful”, and even sent Flow a huge bouquet of flowers in appreciation.
