Imagine a young boy, excited as he scores a goal in a soccer match. He jumps in the air, celebrating, and looks into the crowd, where he meets the eyes of his proud father, who shouts encouragement – a father whose life was saved through donated blood.
Or how about the young woman who has just graduated from university following a car accident that she survived because of the availability of donated blood?
While we are not always able to give of our time because of busy schedules, or contribute financially because of tight economic conditions, isn’t it amazing that we can offer something that surpasses both of these? Something that cannot be bought or manufactured – our blood, which for many means a second chance at life.
If you have never considered donating blood before, this is your chance. Life matters, and so does your blood.
