Flow recently worked with 21st Century Pay Solutions Group to build the latest version of RewardOnline, an online salary research tool that helps HR and senior executives benchmark their companies’ remuneration.

The tool can answer questions such as “Are we paying a market-related salary?” and “Do we offer the right incentives?”

The new website contains aggregated and anonymised salary information from over 800 companies. Users can search across a wide variety of job types, including several specialised job families. They can also compare remuneration across multiple countries, and use national and regional benchmarks. The data is current and accurate, and is audited by Ernst & Young.

Flow teamed up with executive partners Ian McGorian and Morag Phillips to develop the scope and measure progress in fortnightly meetings over a six-month period. The result was launched last month at http://www.rewardonline.co.za.

Flow web developers led by Stephen Frank rebuilt the website from the ground up. “It was one of the first websites we’ve built using Laravel, which is an awesome open-source PHP framework,” says Stephen. “Other highlights included working with Ian on a fairly complex database scheme, which enabled us to get the most out of the rich dataset at our disposal.”

Morag is chuffed with the result and says current users are enjoying the new platform. “The site is more user-friendly and appealing with detailed reporting. The PDF and Excel export is much clearer and very simple to use. For new users, the site is very simple and easy to navigate,” she says.

“I have been super-impressed with your professionalism, your skill, your ability to deliver within your promises and with no disappointment. Everyone we have dealt with in the team has impressed us, and as a team you provide an integrated solution and understand your client well.”

21st Century marketing manager Thembi Dlala has worked closely with the Flow team to get the message out via an email campaign targeting potential and existing users. “It’s such a pleasure working with professional people, but most importantly you have been responsive with refreshing insight and always available to guide and assist,” she enthuses.
