Flow is proud to announce the launch of the new Du Roi Laboratory website, with enhanced visual appeal and a more user-friendly interface.
Du Roi Laboratory is a new Flow client. It has been around since 1994 and is located in Letsitele in Limpopo. It’s in the agriculture business, supplying banana and sugar-cane plant tissue cultures to growers
The company required a new website to cater to the needs of its customers, while showcasing its products and services. “The old website wasn’t responsive, and didn’t use a system that allowed the easy upload of content. It was also content heavy,” says Flow project manager Sasha Hall.
Flow’s designers and developers worked together to produce a high-quality website that met these requirements – which meant a happy client. “I’m thrilled with the final product,” says Suné Kleynhans, general manager at Du Roi Laboratory.
Says Sasha: “One of the main things Du Roi wanted on the new site was for the home page to display all relevant information – the services, what you need if you work with them, etc. We used panels to divide sections nicely.”
The new website uses bold green and white colours to represent the agribusiness of Du Roi Laboratory. It is easy to navigate, and the menu provides fast access to its products and services. The site also uses attractive imagery of the company’s products and the industry, adding a strong visual element.
“We used their beautiful images to make the website visual and appealing to the eye. We used big header slides with these images on each page,” says Sasha.
Owing to Du Roi Laboratory’s global business, there was also a need for the site to be in more than one language. At the moment it caters for a French translation, but more languages will be added at a later stage.
Flow developer Seskie Vhukeya says making provisions for more than one language was a learning curve, but one he embraced. “I’m happy that I managed to make the translation features work,” he says.
Working with Du Roi was a great experience. Sasha says there was a good working relationship, and the client’s input helped meet the set time frames.
