Flow Communications was recently re-awarded a Level 4 black economic empowerment (BEE) status – a reflection of Flow’s ongoing commitment to building a diverse company, and an achievement of which the company is very proud.
According to http://www.southafrica.info, BEE is “a pragmatic growth strategy that aims to realise the country’s full economic potential while helping to bring the black majority into the economic mainstream”.
This is the second time Flow Communications has been awarded a Level 4 BEE rating, after it was rated for BEE for the first time last year, and also achieved a Level 4 status. Our sister companies also have excellent BEE ratings, with Flow PR being rated even better, at Level 3.
Says Flow CEO Tara Turkington, “At Flow, we are proudly diverse in terms of race, gender, age and experience. We believe very firmly in the principles of BEE, and our empowerment ownership and employee equity are two of the things we are most proud of.
“We believe our diversity makes Flow a strong, interesting and dynamic company.”
Says Flow’s financial manager, Beverley Strimer, “I’m seriously pleased that we have managed to maintain our Level 4 BEE status. We’re sure many of our clients will also be pleased with this rating, as it will help any of them who choose procurement as one of the categories when being rated for BEE themselves.”
