This year, Tara Turkington was invited to be a judge for the Pica Awards, South Africa’s premier magazine industry awards.
Tara helped to judge a variety of journalism categories including Best Feature, Best Columnist, and Best Reportage. Fellow judges included Gus Silber, Sue Grant-Marshall, Matebello Motloung and Arthur Goldstuck.
The Picas, which are run by the Magazine Publishers’ Association of South Africa, will be announced at a function at the Sandton ConventionCentre, Johannesburg, on Wednesday 07 November 2007.
