Flow recently helped develop and launch an interactive online learning platform for the Etana Academy, an accredited learning facility under Etana Insurance dedicated to uplifting the skills of Etanans and all those connected to the company’s broker network.
This specific course, the Etana Online Academy National Certificate for Short Term Insurance: Level 5, was created in order to build the capabilities of senior employees working in the short-term insurance industry.
Flow was tasked with helping the client create a seamless online learning platform, where learners could easily access source material, hand in assignments and exams online, as well as engage with the Academy team throughout the course.
To do this, Flow generated the platform using Moodle, a free open-source PHP web application for producing modular internet-based courses.
Flowstars Christine Marot and Stuart Dickinson handled content uploads and managed the rollout of the project.
“Creating an online learning platform for Etana was a challenging and exciting project, and our first foray into the multi-faceted world of Moodle,” says Christine. “The high point for everyone involved was having the site officially recognised as an e-learning platform by accreditation agency Inseta.”
