Flow Communications

Dear Flow friends and partners,

A few of you have been reaching out to find out if Flow will continue operating during the lockdown period. The answer is a resounding: YES. Our entire team has been busy working remotely for the past 10 days, and will continue to do so over the next 21.

We began working from home on 17 March after President Cyril Ramaphosa’s first address around Covid-19. And, since then, we have continued our work of creating content, maintaining your digital properties, growing your social media presence, developing internal communications strategies and providing PR support.

Some highlights over the past 10 days have been online workshops and webinars that we’ve run for some clients. We’ve also helped many of our clients manage their crisis communications around Covid-19 and helped keep social media platforms alive and busy as offices have closed down.

Flow was built around the principles of working remotely, from the way we equip our team, to the way we work.

If you’re looking for advice on how to do it right, we’re happy to chat to you. For instance, our award-winning application, Timesponge, is a key part of ensuring that teams transparently report on work being done, regardless of where they are. We’re now also offering media training remotely.

Like all of you, we at Flow are also grappling with this surreal experience and managing the uncertainty around what lies ahead. Yet, social distancing, in some ways, has brought us closer together. We’ve been in each other’s homes (remotely) – met children, spouses, parents and pets. We’ve seen each other without our “work faces” on.

It really helps drive home the sense of what’s at stake if we don’t get this right. Let’s follow the rules, be kind and think of those around us.

Best wishes,

Tara, Tiffany and the entire team at Flow
