Flow Communications

Dear Flow friends,

In light of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s address to the nation on the critical steps that the country is taking to curb the spread of Covid-19, we wanted to update you on the measures Flow Communications is taking to ensure that the people in our ecosystem stay healthy and productive during this time.

Firstly, our team will begin working remotely from today, in order to adhere to the global call for social distancing. What does it mean for you?

Well, apart from being secure in the knowledge that we’re doing our part to #FlattenTheCurve – not too much.

Whether we’re developing your website or app (now a more critical tool than ever before), creating content, maintaining your digital properties, growing your social media presence, developing internal communications strategies or providing you PR support, that work will continue seamlessly. Flow was built around the principles of working remotely. So everything from the way we equip our staff, to the way we create, store and secure the work we do for you, is meant to work regardless of where we’re sitting.

The big change will be that our face-to-face meetings, updates and contact sessions will now happen in the relative safety of cyberspace. This will be through conferencing tools (think Skype or Google Meets) or even telephonically. Don’t worry – our team will work with you to ensure that we use a system that you’re comfortable with. And, as always, we remain as reachable and ready to assist as we always have been.

We’re also very cognisant of the fact that Covid-19 will likely have an impact on you and the way you work. So we stand ready with support, advice and practical tips and tools to help you weather the next few months.

Our innovative time-tracking tool, TimeSponge, for instance, can help you ensure that your own team working remotely is logging all time spent in a transparent way, and is still on track to meet deadlines. Our work with online conferencing tools means that we can help transform your planned conference or workshops into an easily accessible webinar. Do you have a media interview coming up and don’t want to go into the studio? Our media training can help you learn how to make the most out of that Skype or telephonic interview.

Here’s the bottom line: we know that this will be a trying time for people everywhere in the world. But we also know that it is critical that we all respond to this crisis with kindness, creativity, responsibility and consideration for each other.

So, stay healthy, wash those hands and we’ll catch up with you online!

Tara, Tiffany and the entire team at Flow
