Flow Communications continues to enjoy a successful working relationship with the Media Monitoring Project,a South African non-governmental organisation concerned with analysing local media coverage on an on going basis and implementing interventions with the aim of improving it.
We have just completed a 24-page booklet entitled, Editorial Guidelines and Principles for Reporting on Children in the Media 2008: A Snapshot of Children in Zambian News.
The booklet will be distributed to media houses in South Africa to help them report in line with laws and regulations that protect the rights of children and how to cover their stories in the media.
One of the project’s long-standing concerns is to encourage sensitive and ethical reporting of children in the media.
Flow has produced flyers, pamphlets, posters and booklets for the project in the past and we look forward to working with this dynamic NGO again in the future.
