Ladies and gentlemen, please make some noise for our new Flowstar, Zander Janse van Rensburg.
Actually, no, please don’t, you’ll make this soft-spoken and reserved guy blush. The only thing he’s not shy about is his passion for software and developing.
Zander took a gap year after matric and shortly after, started working to gain the vast experience that he now possesses in web development. He started his career at Webonline as a software consultant, and became a software engineer shortly before joining Junkmail as a senior developer and team leader, where he progressed to the role of technical leader in just a year.
He joins Flow Communications as a web developer, and hopes to keep the role for the next couple of years to further develop his skills.
His interests apart from his work are gaming and playing golf. Danny Kopping, Flow programmer, thinks Zander is a cool and capable guy who knows his ”stuff”.
“He is my buddy and we talk about life during our breaks,” says Danny.
“I like the energy of the people I work with, I thought it was pretense but the energy has been the same for the past two weeks that I’ve been here,” says Zander.
Richard Frank, head of Flow’s development studio, thinks Zander has a good sense of humour and a is great guy to work with.
“He’s fitting in very well, already embarked onto a number of projects from day one and doing well although he had minimal training,” says Richard.
So, when you meet Zander, please show him that Flowstar energy and make him feel welcome. But just do it softly …
