Flow has just finished building the official website for the Madikwe Game Reserve, in conjunction with an exciting and unique marketing initiative backed by the North West Parks and Tourism Board.

All 21 lodges in the reserve have joined forces to create the Madikwe Marketing Action Group (MMAG), which aims to create a clear marketing identity for the reserve. This is the first time that stakeholders have partnered to market one of South Africa’s premier game-viewing destinations.

“The website is a portal for all lodges in the reserve and highlights three main areas in the MMAG strategy – information about the reserve, its world-renowned approach to community-based wildlife conservation, as well as the lodges themselves,” says Flow writer Stuart Dickinson.

Adds designer Ryan Levenson, “Our approach to the design was to keep it simple and use really beautiful images that showcase the natural beauty of the reserve. I’m really happy with the way it turned out.”

As part of the website build, Flow travelled to Madikwe to train the lodge managers on how to maintain their individual lodge pages by using the site’s content management system.

“Stunning site, lovely job – well done, Flow!” commented Caroline Lucas of Mosetlha Bush Camp & Eco Lodge, who also heads up CI and branding for MMAG.

“We are very excited about this project,” said Allan Losaba, CEO of North West Parks and Tourism. “Combining the marketing forces of all the lodges will ensure coherent messaging and enhance the attraction Madikwe already holds for tourists and local visitors.”
