We love covering events at Flow Cape Town and there is a big one coming up. The International Aquarium Congress (IAC) only takes place once every four years and from September 9 to 14, it will take place in Cape Town.
Flow Communications has been working with the Two Oceans Aquarium to promote this event for the past two years and now that we’re two weeks away, we’re getting really excited.
For my colleague Ingrid Sinclair, the content manager for the Two Oceans Aquarium and IAC websites, the congress will be the highlight of the year and she’s definitely counting down the days and hours until it begins. During the event, she will be co-ordinating blogs, photos, videos, Twitter coverage and much more, ensuring that anyone interested in the event can get all the information they desire.
The staff at the Two Oceans Aquarium are really great to work with, they are so passionate about what they do. Every time I get a chance to chat with Dr Patrick Garratt, the Aquarium’s managing director, I am inspired. In the video below, Dr Garratt shares his thoughts on the “Aquarium Olympics” and why he is so excited about Cape Town hosting the IAC.
If you have an interest in aquariums, marine biology or anything related, follow the IAC on Twtitter.
