The relationship between Flow and Hollard goes back a long way, so we were just as thrilled as Hollard Insure when it scooped the 2019 Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA) Award for Short-Term Insurer of the Year: Corporate, alongside Santam.

Hosted at The Maslow hotel in Sandton recently, the FIA Intermediary Experience Awards recognise the best insurers in the country – and the winners are voted for by brokers. Broker relationships are core to the way Hollard Insure operates, so to be recognised by the brokers in this way is significant.

FIA CEO Lizelle van der Merwe, speaking about the importance of the awards and the role that brokers play, said: “The Intermediary Experience Awards are about encapsulating what I as an intermediary experience when I interact with your brand. So, do I get the sense that there’s a trusted relationship? Do I get the sense that there are better outcomes for my customers? Do I get the sense that I get product quality?

“Those are the pillars that we [the FIA] were measuring. That’s essentially what the FIA Awards measure – those pillars of engagement. So the Intermediary Experience Awards are all centred around that.”

Naturally, the Hollard Insure team was excited by the win, with CEO Willie Lategan saying: “It’s great to win, and fantastic to share the award with Santam – we respect the competition.”

If you ask Flowstars who work on the account what we do for Hollard Insure, the answer will be: “Everything.” From social media, emailers and blogs, to thought-leadership pieces, interesting quizzes and more, Flow has worked alongside Hollard Insure on numerous campaigns, including the successful #LongLiveTheBroker™, Hollard Highway Heroes and #InsuranceTips campaigns.

This is testament to the deep trust between the two organisations and the cohesive relationship that’s been fostered.

“I’ve worked on the Hollard account for the past four years, and walked with them, watching from the sidelines as they went through an intense company restructure, as they bought out and merged with other companies, and internally rebranded and repositioned various business units. And they’ve done all this with absolute finesse,” says Flow project manager Angela Blake.

“And all this, while also continuing to successfully compete in a highly volatile industry that is extremely challenged by the onset of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. I’m privileged to work alongside the Hollard Insure team every day and to celebrate each and every one of their achievements – especially their FIA Award win!”

The future continues to look bright for Hollard Insure, and Flow will be right there offering all the support we can.
