Flow Communications

Joining Flow in February 2012, as a strategist and project manager, it was as if Kevin had always been a part of the team. He has jumped right into the thick of things, steering projects for clients such as South African Tourism, Budmarsh Country Lodge and the SAB World of Beer.

Choosing to become a Flowstar felt like a natural career move for Kevin, as he believes Flow is a young, dynamic and growing company.

“It is a refreshingly challenging working environment,” says Kevin. “I find the new system and space at Flow very engaging – I feel very comfortable here.

“Also, having the opportunity to work with people I have long admired, such as Flow MD Tiffany Turkington and Flow Exhibitions CEO Janet Berger, was an added bonus.”

Kevin also adds that he looks forward to working with challenging yet understanding clients, who are very collaborative, so they can push him to be more innovative in his problem solving skills.

Writer Laura Maggs, who has already worked on a project with Kevin, says, “He is such a wonderful addition to Flow. He has such a great way of organising things, and is a wonderful calming influence.”

Ask any Flowstar about Kevin and the response always leads to the staff’s admiration for his sense of calm, generosity and ability to look at the brighter side of things when all seems gloomy.

Flowstar Kate Rau adds, “He is such a positive force!”

Kevin also happens to be a brilliant artist, with paintings featured in the Sasol and Telkom collections, as well as in the South African National Gallery.

When asked about possibly producing a Kevin original for our brand new Jozi offices, Kevin says, “I’ve got a great plan for one of the walls here in our Johannesburg offices, but Cape Town and Durban will have to wait.”

Kevin can also whip up a great meal, with his signature dish being a tasty crème brulée.

Could it be a coincidence that Kevin and Stephen Fry were born a day apart? It is no secret that people have often mistaken him for the famous British actor. Says Kevin, with a smile, “Not only am I a day younger, thinner and better looking, but I’ve also never taken off all my clothes on a film set.”
