DAREdevil fever is here, and Flow is gearing up to help Etana and thousands of other South Africans give cancer the middle finger at 4pm on 8 November 2013.
And you – yes, you – have every reason to slap on a Speedo and join us! This fun annual event is a great way to create awareness around male cancers and spread the word that early detection saves lives.
In fact, over 90% of early-detected testicular cancer patients are cured after their initial treatment.
Registrations are open, and all funds from the R100 entry fee go towards cancer-related charities. You could also win yourself a cool R10 000 just by getting your mates to register.
“It’s hugely encouraging to see how much the DAREdevil Run has grown since the first event in 2009,” says Flow’s Stuart Dickinson. “It has now spread to nine cities across the country, and there is a huge sense of camaraderie between the guys who take part.
“We’re looking forward to this year’s run, and encourage all our clients and friends to join us on the day.”
It’s important to realise that this is not a race, but more of a social call to action. You could walk the 4km route if you wanted, and absolutely no one would judge you – that’s how awesome the people who take part are.
