Hotel Verde, the greenest and most energy-efficient hotel in Africa, celebrated its third birthday on Saturday 27 August. As proud media partners, Flow wishes Hotel Verde a fabulous birthday, with many more environmentally friendly years to come.
To celebrate the anniversary, Flow recently spent time filming the hotel, its staff and its many eco-friendly initiatives.
Included in the footage is the spontaneous appearance of the birthday cake, surprising guests and staff alike.

Carin du Plessis, Hotel Verde brand and design creative, and the brains behind the fun video, shares what the hotel’s third birthday means to her: “Hotel Verde is not like other hotels in Cape Town. It's trendy and quirky, our staff is friendly and down to earth, and our way of operating is just different. I think our guests appreciate this because the brand is transparent and real.”
Have a look at the video below and look out for the cake hidden in the washing machine!
