Google advertising is proving to be one of the most cost-effective ways of connecting South African brands and potential customers, and Flow has noticed an increase in demand for this service. Alan Pilkington, our Google representative in the UK, enlightened 30 or so of our clients from 20 different organisations on how Google AdWords could improve their leads and sales.
Google advertising is one of the most cost-effective, measurable ways for businesses to generate leads online. Google research has found that the average person looks at his or her cellphone 150 times a day on average. Add that to all the desktop Google searches the search engine is running and it becomes obvious why businesses need to be visible in this space.
Three of our staff members have passed Google’s certification exam and Flow manages Google advertising for a wide range of clients, including the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
Tony Rubin, general manager of Flow client SAB World of Beer, said: "They gave us insight into what Google can achieve through targeted marketing using AdWords. I found it very interesting and learnt a lot."
Karin April, project officer at the Hanns Seidel Foundation noted, "It was particularly valuable to learn about Google's pro bono options available to non-profit organisations for the use of AdWords – and it was great to hear how Flow is able to assist NGOs with the application process. I really enjoyed Google's 'proudly South African' creative space and getting to know the amazing people of Flow Communications."
