Another year has come and gone, and this past Friday, Flow staff donned their party hats and celebrated with a bang. And then some.
The day was filled with fun activities that had everyone laughing and cheering each other on. Showing off their best moves on the dance floor and channeling their inner drummers, Flowstars got the party started pretty quickly – 10am, in fact.
After a long and fun-filled day of dancing under the watchful eye of professional instructors, bowls at the Wanderers Club, drumming (not in a circle, but in a square), cupcake decorating, painting, ziplining and shopping for each other, a delicious buffet dinner and hilarious awards ceremony were the cherries on top.
“#FlowFun was inspired by Flow’s values of innovation and leadership. We wanted to do something that would push everyone’s boundaries a little, and teach everyone something new, while having a lot of fun,” said Tara Turkington, CEO of Flow Communications.
“It was great to see how everyone really got into the spirit of the day – and some hidden talents certainly emerged! Personally, I am so grateful to be able to work – and play – with the most wonderful team of people in the world.”
Everyone had only good things to say about the bash and the great time they had. Kate Rau summed up what everyone felt: “What a wonderful day we had – painting, cupcakes, drumming, dancing, eating, laughing, clapping, shouting, smiling, chatting, eating, laughing, adventuring, outsiding, dancing, shouting, laughing, eating, drinking, drinking, drinking, laughing, dancing, eating, drinking … What a superb celebration of a year of hard work!”
The party organisers – Janet Berger, Kevin Collins and Maria Foundanellas – did not go unnoticed; having pulled out all the stops for the day-long celebration, they deserved every word of praise they got.
“Special thanks to all the organisers! Guys, you really outdid yourselves and we really appreciate all the long hours of preparation! It was a splendid and joyous day and night, celebrated in proper Flow style!” exclaimed George Xafis.
Marco Camacho, who blazed the dance floor with some unforgettable moves, said it’s the best year-end bash he has ever attended, and he already can’t wait to see what’s in store next year.
Friday’s awesome bash proved, without question, that there ain’t no party like a Flow party.
