The sounds of singing (and the word “singing” is used very loosely here) recently drifted from various offices as Flowstars warmed up for one of their biggest challenges yet – Flow Idols.
The various studios at Flow have been creating themes for the monthly staff meetings and, so far, these have been highly creative. With themes ranging from “Disco fever” and “All things odd” to Flow's take on Idols, recent staff meetings have been rather interesting.
And the staff meeting of 29 August 2014 didn’t disappoint – the programming studio tested everyone’s vocal abilities, challenging each studio to sing a song for one minute with no backing instruments or music ... and, of course, the lyrics had to contain the word “Flow”.
Flow Idols judge Tiffany “Randall" Turkington-Palmer had this to say about the performances: “The standard of singing was worse than my kids' nursery school plays, but we were proud of the unlimited effort and fun with which the teams presented. We do, however, realise why singing is not in the services that Flow offers.”
"It was a cacophony of sound. It was amusing. But we should never start a choir," said audience member Caroline Smith.
Rapper Gianluca Tucci said: “Like an Italian does, I shouted, used my hands, and managed to rap a spin-off version our team's Orinoco FLOW rendition, word.”
The results were entertaining, to say the least; we can’t wait to see what the next staff meeting has in store.
