At Flow, we pride ourselves on our diversity of clients and the interesting range of work we produce. A recent addition to this expansive portfolio was the Alexkor 2009/10 Annual Report.
Alexkor is a diamond mining company that works both on and off land, along rivers, on beaches, and in the sea along the northwest coast of South Africa.
The company is run as a public entity, with the South African state as the sole shareholder, and is involved in secondary activities such as residential and community services, outside engineering, external transport services and guest houses. The company also operates an airport and fuel station to service communities in and around Alexander Bay and Port Nolloth.
Alexkor tasked Flow to produce a simple, clean design for their report, one that resonated with their corporate colours and logo.
“The project went off fairly quickly. The styling and design were inspired by the company’s logo, and a diamond appears on every page to emphasise the company’s core business. Alexkor is not a conventional mining company, as they are mainly focused on marine mining. With that in mind, I felt it important to showcase their mining processes,” says Flow designer, Neo Male, who was assigned to the project.
We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Alexkor, stretching well into the next financial year and beyond, adding even more sparkle to our portfolio.
