This year Flow has been awarded a Level 3 BEE certificate – a one-level improvement on last year.
The company was evaluated on ownership, management control, employment equity and socio-economic development.
The process involved compiling company registration documents and providing demographics, financial stature and history. An analyst from our black economic empowerment (BEE) verification agency then visited Flow to check the validity of the documents and conduct some interviews.
“As a business, we’ve always been committed to growing a diverse team in terms of gender, age, race and cultural background,” says Flow CEO Tara Turkington. “We believe diversity ultimately makes a stronger business that is better in touch with our clients’ requirements and better positioned to help them lead in their own work.
“As such we are delighted that we’ve been able to improve our BEE rating from a Level 4 to a Level 3. The change tells us that we’re truly transforming as our business grows and making a positive contribution to the development of our country’s skills base.
“The certification is also good news for our clients as it provides better procurement scores for their own BEE scorecards.”
