Launched in 2004, Flickr is today one of the oldest and most popular photo-sharing social networks. While it’s not easy to find accurate and up-to-date stats, Flickr had more than 87-million registered users as of May 2013, who have uploaded well over 6-billion images and videos.
Flow registered a Flickr account under the name flowcomm in November 2007, and since then we have uploaded over 8 000 high-quality images to the network. We've licensed all the images we've uploaded under the Creative Commons licence, which means that anyone can use these images at no charge and for any purpose, as long as Flow is credited.
We have uploaded albums of photos taken as far afield as Russia, India, England, Ireland, China, Tanzania, Uganda, Mauritius and the Maldives, but most of the photos were taken in South Africa.
The account has received almost a million views to date, with some images attracting over 5 000 views each.
