Ros joined Flow Communications after more than 15 years running her own company when decided to venture into the online sphere.

At Flow Ros spends her days working on the Sasol project that Flow has recently acquired. Her job entails liaising with clients, sourcing jobs and overseeing production of these jobs.

Prior to joining Flow, Ros worked in the advertising and marketing department at Nestle for five years, and then ran her own business for 15 years.

In the month that Ros has been finding her feet at Flow, she has enjoyed learning more about the online world and the work the company does: “It’s been hectic and nice; there are hectic deadlines to be met and lots of travelling to be done, but I am enjoying every moment.”

Ros’s first Flow project was to work on Sasol signage and branding. Travelling between Mozambique and South Africa, she managed to oversee the signage of six Sasol gas branches around the two countries. This included banners, posters and signage billboards.

Being part of Flow means being part of a young, vibrant and talented company, she says. “I come from a purely design background and I love the fact that Flow combines design, writing and web development. I look forward to learning more about how these come together.”

After finishing matric she joined Nestle, where she was taken through the company’s internal marketing, packaging and advertising courses, picking up the skills that would serve her in future business endeavours.

Flow MD Tiffany Turkington-Palmer says since joining Flow Ros has quickly made herself indispensible through unmatched skills as an experienced project manager.

“She is great with clients, keeps her own team on track and focused, and has brought a new level of service offering and knowledge to the Flow team.”

In her spare time, Ros loves to run or watch sport with her family of three. She is also involved with aromatherapy products, which she makes for charity. Her other interests include greening, recycling and preserving the world.

If she wasn’t a project manager at Flow, Ros says she would be living on a farm somewhere, growing her own produce.

Her short-term goals include getting up to speed with technology and being acquainted with the way things operate at Flow. In the long-term Ros would like to be competent in project management and be techno-savvy.

Flow welcomes Ros to the family.
