Recently, Flow launched the new Budmarsh Country Lodge website – a fresh take on the online home of one of the Magaliesberg’s gems.
Flowstars Kevin Collins, George Xafis, Alex Cowling and Laura Maggs worked alongside Flow’s CEO Tara Turkington to ensure the website stayed true to the Budmarsh vision, and did justice to the wonderful offerings Budmarsh takes pride in.
To get a feel for the lodge, the owners of Budmarsh, Ken and Meg Fargher, invited members of the Flow team to spend a night there. After a brainstorming session and a long peaceful walk around the gorgeous grounds and nature trails to take photos, the lucky Flowstars tucked into a delicious dinner – an experience in itself – before retreating to the comfort of their luxurious rooms. What a wonderful way to kick off a fantastic project!
The website is clean, streamlined and encapsulates the beauty of the lodge and its natural surrounds.
Says George, who designed the website, “It was fun and challenging working on this site. We had great photography and a dedicated team, and it made the design process that much easier.”
Once the designs were approved, it was time to upload fresh content, written by Laura, as well as the first blogs to the newly created “Budmarsh news” section.
Says Alex, who programmed the website, “The Budmarsh website has all the technical functionality you need for a hospitality website – booking and enquiry forms, galleries, a blog, a guestbook, social network integration and a slick user experience. This site achieves what we set out to deliver… and more!”
With strategist and project manager Kevin Collins leading the way forward, the Flowstars were excited to produce a finished product that the Farghers were happy with.
Says Kevin, “The quote that comes to mind when viewing the new Budmarsh site is: ‘Our minds are like our stomachs; they are whetted by the change of their food, and variety supplies both with fresh appetite’ (Quintilian), as the user experience of this gracious country lodge comes to life in the most welcoming and friendly way.”
“I really love our new website,” says Meg. “I hope it will bring in tons of bookings.”
