Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) launches its popular Sunset Special rates today. To accompany this, Flow is designing a fun and interactive series of Facebook-based competitions each month, from November until February next year.

November’s competition is themed around the tasty Fynbos Mojito. Participants are invited to “mix” the cocktail by dragging the various ingredients into a virtual cocktail glass. Once the correct ingredients have been selected, participants are asked to submit their details in order to stand a chance of winning a cocktail party on top of Table Mountain.

This Facebook challenge is a fun and interesting way of organising a competition, and it encourages people to make the most of the warmer weather – which is perfect for a trip to the top of Table Mountain to enjoy the sunset.

Flow journalist and media developer Laura Maggs helped put the competition together, and says she is looking forward to the next one: “This was such a fun project to work on.

“I think the competition is going to be really popular, as Facebook is a wonderful platform for getting large numbers of people excited about something.”

The cocktail glass and drop-drag ingredients were carefully put together by Flow programmer Alex Cowling, along with design studio manager Tina Brown.

Says Cowling, “This is the first competition of its kind for Flow – it was really exciting to use new technology to put something like this together.”
