Flow Communications is delighted to continue as Cape Town Tourism’s online service provider, having recently won a tender with the Mother City’s official destination marketing organisation, which is now ranked as one of the most influential in the world.
Having worked on the Cape Town Tourism website for more than two years, Flow will continue to provide content, web development, design and e-marketing services.
Cape Town is TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Destination of the Year for 2011, and the opportunity to help promote the destination online is a huge honour for Flow Communications.
Cape Town Tourism CEO Mariëtte du Toit-Helmbold says, “Flow is innovative, creative, and exceptionally strong in terms of content writing. It really understands our brand; it is intuitive and can interpret a brand and reflect it onto the web platform very well.”
Flow’s CEO, Tara Turkington, says, “Cape Town Tourism has always been one of our favourite clients, so we were thrilled when we heard we’d won the tender to be its web and e-marketing partner for the next two years.
“We’ve worked with Cape Town Tourism since 2009, when we launched the destination marketing website for the City of Cape Town, http://www.capetown.travel, in collaboration with its fabulous team. Some of the highlights over the past few years include watching the traffic on its site grow exponentially, the development of the 2010 mini-site, which was one of the country’s most popular websites during the 2010 Fifa World Cup, and recently its listing as the world’s 13th most influential tourist board and DMO [destination marketing organisation] online by Influencers in Travel.
“It’s awesome to work with an organisation that is so progressive and so switched on in terms of destination marketing. We hope that our relationship with Cape Town Tourism lasts long into the future.”
Adds Flow’s managing director, Tiffany Turkington, “Our work with Cape Town Tourism gave us the impetus we needed to open up a fab new office in Cape Town, and to win prestigious clients like the Two Oceans Aquarium and the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway.”
