In her own words, new Flowstar Sasha Hall is outspoken, a perfectionist, a qualified chef and she likes a good party.
I have had the privilege of working with Sasha on a Flow client, KIDZ ID. This client’s brief for its social media is that it should be fun, energetic and vibey – everything Sasha is.
She left Cape Town about two months ago to join Flow Communications as a project manager. She completed a three-year diploma in one year at the South African Chefs Academy in Cape Town in 2010 and she is currently studying towards a BCom degree in entrepreneurship at Unisa.
While studying, she managed social media platforms and marketing-related matters for her parents’ steel manufacturing company. She believes in the importance of using social media to build a brand. “I think there are many ways our clients can benefit from the results of social media. I mean, whoever said no to increased exposure?”
Although she misses Cape Town’s beaches, and her parents, brother (17) and two sisters (16 and 12), she has many nice things to say about Jozi: “It’s so green here. Cape Town, at this time, is a desert. I’m also loving the thunderstorms.”
About Flow and its denizens, she says: “I love the pink (Flow’s corporate colour) and the people … there’s no hostility at all.”
Fellow project manager Riefkah Adams says about the newest Flowstar: “Sasha has a very bubbly personality. She is confident, works hard and works well with others. You can see she loves to learn – that’s why I think she will make a great Flowstar.”
Flow’s Gianluca Tucci adds: “Sasha has blended very well into Flow. She is open, inquisitive and has already started to master the understanding of social media for some of our clients.”
Back to her skills in the kitchen, I asked her what she would prepare for:
- Her crush: “I love Italian dishes, so some sort of pasta”
- Her future in-laws: “Beef Wellington”
- A famous person: “Fillet steak, mushroom tortellini and burnt butter sauce”
Welcome to Flow, Sasha!
