Flow won awards in the following categories:
Environmental – Silver award for the 10th Desmond Tutu International Peace Lecture
- On 7 October 2020, Flow supported the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation’s production of its first-ever online-only Desmond Tutu International Peace Lecture, on the night of the archbishop’s 89th birthday.
Digital media relations – Silver award for the 18th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture: Tackling the Inequality Pandemic
- Flow Communications built a bespoke digital portal for the Nelson Mandela Foundation, allowing it to offer users an engaging and immersive experience of its premier first-ever online-only Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture.
Crisis management online – Silver award for the Sama Persal Migration campaign
- Flow worked with the South African Medical Association (Sama) to communicate with doctors fighting on the Covid-19 frontlines about upcoming changes between Sama and the South African Medical Association Trade Union, and also assisted doctors to change how they paid their membership fees to ensure their continued membership with Sama.
Travel and tourism – Silver award in collaboration with HWB for the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company: The Table Mountain Comeback
- After lockdown, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company wanted to inspire Capetonians to come back to the mountain and explore it via their cable car. Flow Communications and HWB put together an integrated PR and social media campaign to help the client with this task.
Internal or employee communication – Special mention for South African Medical Association: Sama Persal Migration
