Flow Communications has been picked, from a record number of entries, for exceptional work in developing the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway’s website (in the category for Specialist Publisher Sites), for the social media work supporting South African Tourism’s #MeetSouthAfrica campaign (in the category Social Media Campaigns), and for Best Editorial Team for the content team supporting South African Tourism’s digital work.

William Price, South African Tourism’s global digital manager, says: "The #MeetSouthAfrica Social Media Campaign has been massively successful for South African Tourism, and is our Global Always On Campaign, which we use across most of our core and investment markets to inspire and inform potential travellers about the many amazing and unique offerings that our destination has available to them. Embracing social marketing and pushing toward more content marketing have been key shifts in our digital marketing strategy, which focuses on travel being social; that there's a social media revolution taking place; and that it's happening on a mobile device.

"We are thrilled with the results achieved so far and we will continue to use #MeetSouthAfrica going forward, and Flow Communications has been integral to helping us achieve this success globally."

Says Sabine Lehmann, CEO of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway: "Our website is an integral part of our business and has to speak to a wide range of audiences, both local and international. We are excited to be a finalist in the Bookmarks Awards. This confirms the very positive feedback we get from our visitors with regard to the usefulness and ease of use of our website."

Tara Turkington, Flow Communications’ CEO, adds: "This is the first time we’ve entered the Bookmarks, and we are thrilled to have been shortlisted in three categories, which is an indication of the depth of quality work we are able to produce. It’s great to be recognised by the industry for doing good work."

Gail Cameron, one of Flow’s digital project managers who has worked extensively on the South African Tourism account, says: "The #MeetSouthAfrica social media campaign has grown from strength to strength and we are so excited that the fabulous content that our team of Flowstars share every day is being recognised."

Says Alex Cowling, the lead developer who worked on the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway’s website: "I'm particularly proud of the new site. It really forced me out of my comfort zone and I was able to achieve some cutting-edge work. With projects like these, it's really important to stick to the mobile-first strategy, and of ensuring that the site is responsive, or can scale beautifully to any device, whether it’s a cellphone or a giant screen. I'm really happy with the outcome."

The IAB Bookmarks Awards ceremony will take place at Turbine Hall in Newtown, Johannesburg, on 19 February 2015.
