Tourvest has been in operation for nearly 30 years and has focused primarily on the B2B model during this time. A shift in consumer behaviour following the Covid pandemic triggered a rethink towards its approach.
Speaking on the Gareth Cliff Show recently (watch from one hour 18 minutes in), Clinton Els, managing executive of Your Africa, said of Your Africa’s approach: “Journeys are not booked – they are curated. Understanding what a person is really looking for in that travel experience can actually help design where they should be going and what they should be doing ... We want to design travel, we want to curate travel, around the person.”
