As usual, the recent Flow Communications month-end meeting was a blast – we showcased current work, shared great feedback from clients and generally had fun.
But an added bonus was an Easter egg hunt, complete with a visit from the Easter bunny (a very, very big Easter bunny), organised by Flow PR.

The hunt (well, more of a quiz-come-hunt) kicked off with an intriguing poem from PR’s Shaun Demmer, who multitasked on the day as quizmaster and Easter bunny:
There is a place where Flowstars roam,
a creative place of family known,
where secrets are hidden and stories are told,
where any are welcome, young, middle and old,
a place that is coloured in black, white and pink,
where laugher is heard and shot glasses clink,
where colleagues are family and clients are friends,
the hard work is non-stop, the party never ends.
So come on a journey up, down, round and out.
If you have the answer, hands up, do not shout.
The right answer gives you the chance to race on,
find the prize fastest or your egg is gone.
Here start the riddles, the questions, the clues,
all teams are picked at random, just wait for your cues.
The team with the most wins, now isn't that fair,
but the main prize is something we hope you will share.
Thereafter some serious competition ensued: teams were tested by tough questions, and the first two teams to answer a question correctly then faced off against each other in a race find Easter eggs.
Web developer Kuda Nharo was definitely one of the more competitive racers: “I enjoyed the adrenaline rush that came with such a euphoric event, as we had to hustle and tussle for the Easter eggs.
“Being around fellow Flowstars always makes for a great atmosphere, as it gives you a sense of belonging, and last Friday was no different,” he said.
Shaun enjoyed his day out as the Easter bunny: “You walk a fine line as an Easter bunny. As it turns out, there are always mixed reactions when a six-foot furry friend pops up out of nowhere.
“There is nothing better than being an Easter bunny for a day, especially at a place like Flow, where you're spoiled with hugs, photo-ops, cold beer and laughter all around.”

One of the many Flowstars thrilled too have a close encounter with the Easter bunny was project manager Roshni Nana.
“That’s exactly what #FlowFun is about. It was incredibly entertaining and amusing, since the Easter bunny was right in front of me and I saw his every move,” she said.
And what of organising such an event? Well, according to Shaun, it was really entertaining. “We had fun coming up with clues and riddles – there's nothing like letting out the evil genius inside every now and again,” he said.

Having been part of the planning team, PR account manager Nicole Walters was well placed to make some observations: “The atmosphere was captivating, and although the PR team could not take part in the hunt, we felt like we were part of it anyway.
“Among the enthusiastic screams of excitement and the exuberant runners, I started cheering everyone on. Ati [Tshikalange, web developer] was definitely the most competitive participant; it was awesome to watch how he would answer a question and start running while doing so.”
Rest assured, all the teams took the competition seriously – there was a whole lot of jostling, running, leaping over walls ... just watch video below to see what we mean.
Thanks to Flow PR for such a great event.
