Flow Communications

It’s official! The Cape Town Flow Communications team has successfully moved into its new offices, with the relocation taking place on 25 and 26 June 2019.

It’s been quite a busy week for our Cape Town Flowstars – but the looming big move from 74 Shortmarket Street to 87 Kloof Nek Rd, Oranjezicht, finally happened. It was all hands on deck on Tuesday when we packed up the whole office into brown cardboard boxes with some help from Joburg Flowstars Richard Frank and Chaddeane Soo, who assisted with reconnecting phones, printers and computers to the internet in the new offices up the mountainside.

The new premises are situated along the route to Camps Bay and the Table Mountain Cableway, and the building overlooks the Mother City’s famous Lion’s Head, with views of Table Mountain and the city centre.

While the old Cape Town office was located in the vibrant CBD, parking in the area was hard to find and expensive. The new location may be a tad further from the city centre, but it has the benefit of plenty of street parking, which will be distinct plus for both the team and visiting clients.

Manager Sarah-Jane Viljoen says, “Moving up the mountainside will not only provide easier access for us and our clients, but will also energise the team and give us a new perspective on this city we call home. A change is as good as a holiday. The CBD has been our home for more than seven years and we enjoyed the buzz and energy, but the city is battling with congestion and all the challenges that come with it.”

Cape Town content producer Pakamani Nombila says, “I’m excited about the new office space – it’s a bit further from the city, where it can be quite busy and loud during office hours, but still easily accessible.”

Now that the big move is done and dusted, the main objective for the Cape Town team is to make the new office a welcoming and dynamic space that Flow can be proud of.
