During this summer’s Flow School, Flowstar Colin Ford facilitated a blog-writing workshop, encouraging even our non-writers to show off their talents. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be publishing the homework assignments from that session. This is the third of the series.
It’s amazing how we are so busy with our own lives, and pushing our own agendas, that we forget to pull someone with us on our way up in the world.
It’s all about “I”: “I must work hard to be successful”, “I must build my own empire”, “I must make more money” or “I must get that promotion”. Which is great, but do we stop and think about leaving some kind of legacy for the next generation? At the rate that we are going, I often fear that in future the world will be full of unused resources because of a lack of skills to utilise them in the right way.
Fortunately, at Flow Communications, the legacy lives on.

People are hungry for knowledge and empowerment, and Flow offers just the right platform for anyone to learn new skills. It is truly inspirational when a web developer signs for a blog-writing class, or a public relations Flowstar attends a web process class, for example.
It is wonderful for any of us to work hard, build an empire and make money, but we must always remember to motivate, inspire, mentor or empower someone else – it will go a long way giving that person the ability to get ahead as well.
