The J&B Met is regarded as the biggest social event of the year in South Africa, and I’ve always enjoyed covering this event for Cape Town Tourism. An event with this much interest is an excellent opportunity to attract traffic to a website, and Flow has made the most of this in recent years.

When it comes to the J&B Met, many people around the world want to see photos of what attendees were wearing, and horseracing fans want to know the results of the main race, so it’s important to get related blogs live as soon as possible.

During the weekend, Flow published three blogs about the 2013 J&B Met:

J&B Met 2013 photos: Made to Fly

J&B Met 2013 results: Martial Eagle takes the glory

J&B Met 2013 Twitter pictures

These blogs, as well as the photos within them, appear on the front page of Google results for a variety of searches relating to the J&B Met and have been shared by many people on social media, which is why they have collectively attracted several thousand visitors to Cape Town Tourism’s website.

We are blessed with a variety of world-class events in Cape Town every summer, and we look forward to providing coverage of upcoming crowd-pullers, such as the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour and the Two Oceans Marathon.
