The 2010 South African Blog Awards were held in Cape Town last Saturday night and Cape Town Tourism, one of Flow Communications’ biggest clients, was the runner-up for Best Company Blog.
An awards ceremony was held at the One&Only Hotel along the V&A Waterfront, and was attended by some of the country’s top bloggers, as well as several upcoming stars.
Western Cape Premier Helen Zille was the guest of honour, and entertained the finalists and members of the media with stories of her experience with online media and social networking platforms. She stated her firm belief that the internet has a crucial role to play in the development of South Africa, and encouraged the finalists to bear this in mind going forward.
Cape Town Tourism was also voted as one of South Africa’s top 10 travel blogs.
