Flow Communications

Flow has evolved into a wholly remote working business, and it’s fabulous. Cohesion at the company has not suffered even one iota. It has, in fact, been strengthened as digital meetings and connectivity platforms keep the team connected, thriving and productive no matter whether individuals are working from Hatfield, Hartenbos, Houghton or Hoedspruit.

Last week, however, we found ourselves facing a request for an in-person meeting. What’s more, the meeting was a new business pitch, and a multi-agency one at that. We needed to impress. We needed great coffee.

BLACKBOX66 delivered. Located diagonally across the drag from Sandton City, it’s a workspace that has it all: individual workstations (fully equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi); a number of great little meeting spaces (formal and around a table or chilled in comfy armchairs – take your pick); printers; and a help desk.

It’s spacious and bright, giving the ambience of a slick corporate office, but without the in-your-face buzz that inevitably goes with the bustle of your typical corporate beehive. And it’s right next door to a delightful little bistro so if hunger strikes, you can nip out for a salad, sandwich or slice of Black Forest cake.

Adrian Lavagna was our host. He’s a consummate professional: helpful without being intrusive and warmly welcoming without being gushing.

But it was the BLACKBOX66 boardroom that sealed the “this is the answer” deal for us. It was all we needed and more: a beautiful meeting space that accommodates 11 people in perfect comfort. It’s fully equipped with all the tech for a seamless, knock-them-over presentation. There’s hassle-free parking; good, comfy chairs; perfect lighting; and delicious coffee and tea on tap.

It was the ideal space for our pitch. BLACKBOX66 is the perfect venue, too, if you’re a freelancer who wants a change of home office scenery without the distracting din of local coffee shop comings and goings. It’s also fab if you need a discreet space for a meeting that you don’t want everyone in the office wondering and talking about. And the rates are blow-your-hair-back reasonable.
