If you’ve worked with him already, you probably think you know all there is to know about Gianluca Tucci, the latest addition to the Flow family.
He joins Flow from Etana, where for the past five years he worked in brand. He has an extensive background in sponsorship, advertising, and 360 integrated and digital marketing. But it was Flow’s synergy and an opportunity for growth that finally won him over.
Here are a few things you might not know about Gianluca:
- Born and raised in Johannesburg, this first-generation Italian-South African has travelled all over the world – to the American west coast, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and England, to name a few places. But there’s only one place he calls home: South Africa
- Every year, for 25 years, his entire family has holidayed in Plettenberg Bay. And while it’s tradition, every year yields a new memory. One of the best Gianluca recalls, is when he came face to face with an elephant at Inyathi Guest Lodge. Imagine having a 30-minute face-off with the biggest land animal on the planet!
- Soccer is a great passion. It might be the Italian blood running through his veins but Gianluca is a true fan! His favourite team is Juventus and he went as far as travelling to Torino, Italy, for the opening of the club’s new stadium
- He loves Asian fusion cuisine, movies and art – going out as often as possible to enjoy any or all. “I love sushi and a movie,” he says, but it’s his grandmother’s traditional Italian cooking that he really relishes: “Nothing beats my Nonna’s food! It’s like having an Italian restaurant at home … she lives round the corner”
And while he’s done the Daredevil run four years and counting, plays golf and soccer, and enjoys spending time with friends – even if they’re doing one of his least favourite things, like trout fishing – we’re pretty sure his adventure at Flow will be one of his biggest yet.
