This year Women’s Day took on a different form of celebrations for a group of friends and myself as we headed off to Montecasino for the Craft Revolution – a day of sunshine, craft beer and most importantly great food!

As if we needed more reasons to love Martha’s Mojo, they hooked me up with some complimentary tickets to the Craft Revolution, providing me with a day of awesome music and a surprisingly “vibey” atmosphere.

Kicking off the afternoon with one of the oddly named craft beers (many named after hipster joints and various blondes), we proceeded to queue with the masses on a mission to pair our beers with the tacos of the day from Martha’s Mojo Amexicano food truck.

Met with the wide smiles of the friendly faces I have come to know thanks to our weekly visits from the 5-Star Street Chef at Flow, we took one look at the menu and knew we were in for a lunch fit for kings. There is something unusual about standing in front of a food truck holding a “Maboneng Magic” beer with a “drunken chicken” taco – but it works!

Counting myself incredibly lucky, I got spoiled a second time just a few days later when Martha’s Mojo returned with the Amexicano truck to the Flow offices, serving up chimichangas (a Mexican specialty in the form of deep-fried meat and cheese filled burritos) with a special treat fruit salad (and a bottle of chilled tequila) with love from Martha’s team!

Keeping up a Flow tradition to keep our fearless leaders – Tara and Tiffany – up to date on our actions while they are away, I couldn’t help but notice a somewhat different quote on the menu board: “When the caTTs are away, the mice (Flowstars) will play!”

Needless to say, Martha definitely has her Mojo and has once again brought hunger happiness to my fellow Flowstars and me. Be sure to keep up to date with the food truck movements at www.marthasmojo.co.za, or follow @Amexicano_Mojo – trust me, you don’t want to miss the scrumptiousness that is Martha’s Mojo!
