Flow’s Joburg office was a colourful buzz of Indian attire and bindis on Friday morning in celebration of Flow’s project manager Roshni Nana, whose traditional Indian wedding will be held in Durban in a week’s time.
On the wedding, which has taken six months to plan, Roshni said: “As the wedding is a week away, I am busy with final preps and spending a few days with my family who are arriving this weekend from London and Virginia.
“I am very grateful for all the love and well wishes that I have received in the last few days from my family and friends. And for the special Flow love received today, jilebis and all.”
The jilebis were from colleague Jaffar Chiosa, who works in the web development studio. The sweet treat is made from deep-fried wheat-flour batter soaked in sugar syrup, and is popular in South Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and East Africa.
Flow CEO Tara Turkington wished Roshni all the best ahead of her wedding.
“Roshni has worked at Flow for a long time and is very special to all of us. We thought we’d do something fun as a show of our support for her and our love for her ahead of her wedding next weekend – even the male Flowstars were game to put on bindis! We hope she and Kaushik will have a lovely wedding and a very, very happy life together,” said Tara.
And Roshni is already looking forward to married life.
“I am grateful for finally finding love and look forward to spending the rest of my life with my supportive and loving partner. Pink love to you all,” she said.
