Destination visits, interviews and photography are just some of what is required of writers at Flow. My work for client South Africa Tourism recently took me to Luthuli Museum in Groutville, KwaZulu-Natal, on precisely such a fact-finding, photographic mission.

You could say what I experienced at the site near KwaDukuza, formerly known as Stanger, was a sense of déjà vu. Why? CEO Tara Turkington and head programmer Richard Frank were responsible for producing the original exhibition text for the museum back in 2009. At the time, content development was a collaborative effort with Ochre Media, who subcontracted the writing to Flow while they handled the exhibition design.

The unassuming Luthuli Museum has been created in the very home where Nobel laureate Albert Luthuli lived and preached his philosophy of non-violent resistance. It’s well worth visiting if you find yourself in northern KwaZulu-Natal with an hour to spare.

If you aren’t in the province anytime soon, check out the South Africa Tourism attractions page to read all about it.
