It’s a new year and “this is definitely the year of the Cow”.
So says Patrick Gurney, Collective Cow’s sales and marketing manager, who is looking to grow the company’s presence in the collective buying industry.
Collective Cow has grown from strength to strength over the years by focusing more on quality than quantity.
“2013 is going to be an exciting year for the Cow, because we have so many plans in the pipeline that are going to grow the brand,” says Patrick.
“This year we are going to focus on formulating strategic partnerships with bigger companies, segmenting deals, hiring more staff and most important, we are going to have more fun.”
One of the ways that Collective Cow has differentiated itself from other group buying companies is through its focus on client relationships and delivering a quality service.
“For us it’s not about closing the deal,” says Patrick. “We always focus on the client and do a lot to educate them about what collective buying is and explain, in great detail, what the client is getting themselves into. That way, we are able to get our customers great deals, while growing our clients’ business.”
From now on all Collective Cow’s deals will be segmented into categories such travel and leisure, health and wellness, entertainment and activities, and products. The Cow is also aiming to introduce more green deals in an effort to “mainstream greener choices in the industry”, says Patrick.
Collective Cow also aims to be more active on social media such as Facebook and bring more of the cow’s personality to that and other social media, like Twitter.
“Collective Cow is one of the few group buying companies that has a face and personality. We want to move away from hard selling and use humour to encourage our customers to buy,” adds Patrick.
