The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture: awards entry video 2024
South Africa has not fully explored the richness of its multicultural status. To remedy this, since 2018/19 the Department of Sport, Art and Culture (DSAC) has commissioned the Living Human Treasures book series.
Flow Communications has produced 16 of the books in the series, which aims to empower communities and individuals in safeguarding their heritage; recognise the roles of various stakeholders in supporting living heritage; and provide scope for the government to facilitate and monitor the identification and safeguarding of living heritage and indigenous knowledge systems.
In 2023, Flow was commissioned to produce five books in the series.
