Media Training
Flow offers specialist media training for executives, mostly in the corporate sector. The training is conducted by media veterans Jeremy Maggs, Kate Turkington and Tara Turkington. Maggs is a host of eTV’s Newsnight every evening, and Kate Turkington is a highly respected travel journalist and hosts South Africa’s longest running talkshow, Believe It or Not, on 702/Cape Talk on Sunday nights. Flow Communications’ CEO Tara Turkington is a print and online specialist, who has written for a wide range of publications including the Mail&Guardian, Financial Mail, City Press, Elle, True Love and numerous others, and who has lectured journalism at the University of the Witwatersrand and the Durban University of Technology.
Our media training clients include some of South Africa’s top bluechip companies, including Nedbank, Liberty Life, Microsoft, Standard Bank, Growthpoint, Acsa and dozens of others. We usually take small groups (up to five at a time, but by special arrangement up to 15 at a time), and mix theory with practice, which includes a live radio and TV interview in highly realistic simulations. Most of our clients are repeat clients, and they choose us for our excellent trainers and balanced programme of print, online, TV and radio know-how. The training is exhilirating and empowering.
