Among a number of ongoing email campaigns, Flow Communications sends out a monthly newsletter on behalf of Cape Town Tourism, which promotes Cape Town to the international travel industry. The Top Tips for Travel Trade newsletter is one you should subscribe to if you are involved in inbound tours to Cape Town.

This newsletter is distributed to travel agents around the world and is aimed at assisting them in sourcing accommodation and activity ideas for their clients. In turn, this benefits the Cape Town travel industry.

The August newsletter was sent to nearly 900 subscribers and provided information about what to do in Cape Town during winter, while promoting various special offers available during the winter months.

The newsletter provided information about the seasonal weather in Cape Town, details about pricing, and answers to questions frequently asked by travellers.

In the August newsletter, prominent visitor attractions such as Robben Island and Cape Point were profiled, as were hidden gems such as Iziko South African Museums and Kommetjie, ensuring that there were options for visitors wishing to explore greater Cape Town as well as for those with a checklist of “must-see” attractions.

There were also links to the Beyond Cape Town section of Cape Town Tourism’s website, which provided information about alternative destinations in the Western Cape.

On behalf of Cape Town Tourism, Flow also distributes monthly visitor, industry and media newsletters.
