This year’s Tourism Indaba was particularly exciting for Flow Communications as we had five of our clients exhibiting at the well-attended annual event held at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) this weekend.
Flow staff members, Bronwen d’Oliveira, from Cape Town, and Christine Marot, from Durban, played a supportive role during the event, meeting clients, interviewing exhibitors and recording the event in pictures.
There was great excitement at the Two Oceans Aquarium stand, where Alichia Nortje, Renée Leeuwner and Jacinta Subjee joined forces with Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company and City Sightseeing under the Go Cape Town banner, to market three premier attractions to visitors through their handy new card.
Hosting its third Tourism Indaba stand this year, Maropeng showcased its tourism offering under the Southern Spoor umbrella.
Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) focused on the Mother City’s bid for Table Mountain to be chosen as one of the New7Wonders of Nature.
Cape Town Tourism hosted two stands at this year’s event, one shared with Cape Town Routes Unlimited and the other to market their SMMEs. Cape Town Tourism also launched their new Rail and Ride eco-route, as well as their eco-friendly green cabs at this year’s Indaba.
The Thebe Tourism Group was also kept busy with visitors and trade enquiries at their stand at the ICC.
Tourism Indaba organisers are ecstatic about securing the event for the next five years in Durban and Flow is looking forward to being there again in 2011.
