From Cape Town to Durban, Johannesburg to Rustenburg, Flow Communications has, in a short space of time, made its presence known as a driving force in the communications industry.
While most companies owe a great deal of their success to their strong advertising and PR campaigns, Flow Communications owes its growth to word-of-mouth advertising and referrals.
On in the outskirts of Rustenburg, in the township of Ledig, lives the Bakubung nation, with whom Flow has forged a relationship through the Bakubung Economic Development Unit.
The Bakubung, “people of the hippo”, live a mere two and half hours from the bustle of Johannesburg and 5km from Sun City.
Flow’s relationship with Bakubung Economic Development Unit (BEDU) started on a small scale with Flow producing flyers, but later diversified to include a website, banners and T-shirts.
The website that Flow developed showcases the best of BEDU and the “people of the hippo”. It showcases their education initiatives, water solutions, photo gallery and a news section that is constantly updated with what’s happening in Ledig.
The history of the Bakubung community has been characterised by conflict, triggered by external politics during the apartheid era and by internal disputes over leadership.
Bakubung Economic Development Unit cultivates the potential of the Bakubung people by providing water delivery solutions, arts and educational programmes, economic upliftment, local governance, safety and healthcare.
Bakubung Economic Development Unit has already provided water solutions for the community of Ledig. Schools in the area have been renovated and the community now has new playing fields and computer laboratories.
Hi,
How do people get those banners on their youtube vidoes?I’m having trouble figuring out how people put their banners over the information on their videos. I want to put one up, but I’m having a brain fart or something and cant figure it out.
