Flow Communications has been very busy preparing Cape Town Tourism’s website for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, which kicks off on June 11 in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The front page of the mini-site features a countdown clock, displaying how long, to the second, until kick off.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ mini-site provides football fans and visitors to Cape Town, with all they need to know about the event, including where to stay, how to get around, as well as what to see and do while in Cape Town. An events calendar will remind you what is happening each day of the tournament.
If you are one of those people who don’t have a ticket to watch any of the matches at Cape Town Stadium, you can visit the entertainment section of the mini-site to find out all you need to know about what is happening at the FIFA Fan Fest, Africa’s Biggest Soccer Party, V&A Waterfront or public viewing areas.
The mini-site provides a full list of fixtures for the tournament, as well as a list of matches taking place in Cape Town.
Whether you are a local or a visitor, you will find the transport section very useful. You can, for example, download a map depicting all road closures in Cape Town during the event.
There is a news feed on the front-page, containing external articles related to the tournament.
A page containing facts and figures about Cape Town Stadium, has been one of the most popular pages on Cape Town Tourism’s website during the past few months, with around 5 000 visits so far this month.
The image gallery, which is updated regularly, contains images of the stadium as well as various fan venues during the tournament, such as the FIFA Fan Fest.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ mini-site is where you can find out all you need to know about Cape Town during the tournament and Flow is proud of the role it has played in terms of designing, programming as well as providing and updating content for this site.
