With the likes of City Press Editor Ferial Haffajee, travel writer and radio host, Kate Turkington, and Maropeng General Manager Erica Saunders among the first students attending Flow School on Tuesday night, we should’ve known the concept was going to be an instant success.
Our students had varying skill in social networking and came from vastly different professions, from insurance to media training, broadcasting to education. The medley of personalities present made for a vibrant and highly interactive session. Read more…
Cape Town Tourism’s 2010 FIFA World Cup™ mini-site

Flow Communications has been very busy preparing Cape Town Tourism’s website for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, which kicks off on June 11 in Johannesburg and Cape Town.The front page of the mini-site features a countdown clock, displaying how long, to the second, until kick off.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ mini-site provides football fans and visitors to Cape Town, with all they need to know about the event, including where to stay, how to get around, as well as what to see and do while in Cape Town. Join Cape Town Tourism on YouTube

Cape Town Tourism is one of Flow’s biggest clients. We have been appointed on a two-year contract to be the tourism organisation’s web and e-marketing partner, and at the centre of this is Cape Town Tourism’s popular website, www.capetown.travel. One of the aspects of e-marketing we’re currently focusing on is Cape Town Tourism’s YouTube channel, and we’re now uploading new videos showcasing Cape Town and some of its beautiful attractions to the channel on a regular basis.

Flow presents the latest HIV/AIDS and the Media Project publication

One of Flow’s recent projects has been the production of the HIV/AIDS and the Media Project discussion forum’s booklet, How healthy is our news? The state of health reporting in South Africa.
The HIV/AIDS and the Media Project’s main focus at its eighth discussion forum, held at the Wits Origins Centre on October 22, 2009, was to look into the role and impact of the news media on the HIV pandemic.
The book is a full-colour document, designed using the Project’s corporate colours. The cover is a collage of images representing the media, finished off with minimal images, fine text and white spaces for an attractive, easy read. Read more…

Flow reveals the many faces of Cape Point

Cape Point boasts some of the most breathtaking ocean and mountain scenery on the planet. This narrow stretch of land, dotted with beautiful valleys, bays and beaches, contains a mix of extraordinarily diverse fauna and flora and forms part of the Cape Floral Region, a World Heritage Site.
It completes Cape Town’s “Big Six” attractions, along with Table Mountain, Robben Island, the V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden and the Constantia Vineyards.
Flow was enthusiastic and excited about putting together new brochures in time for the Indaba tourism expo, for this premier tourist attraction for our long-standing client, the Thebe Tourism Group. Read more…

Designing the Turning off the Tap booklet

Turning off the Tap, produced by the aids2031 consortium of partners, aims to understand the HIV/AIDS pandemic response, consider the implications of the disease in a changing world and chart a long-term response to the pandemic to change the face of AIDS in Africa by 2031 in Africa.
Flow Communications was approached to design the booklet and the project became my responsibility.
The booklet is basically a one colour (black type on white pages) document; the cover is full colour. Read more…
